Pregnant Mares Home

Right after our walk today I drove over to mom's to pick up a dessert she made for the Berean workers. We sure enjoyed THAT. To read about our very hard busy day at Berean click HERE.
Diane and I took the Bibles to the post office and thankfully had help unloading them from the post office manager. He had just stepped out and was getting into his truck when we arrived. He saw us backing the van up, got back out of the truck and came over to help. What a blessing that was!
I barely made it home in time to meet Karin. She wanted to work Rosaleigh and Roxanne one more time before we hauled them out to Middle Grove.
Rosaleigh was worked first. Karin was very pleased, reporting she remembered her last training and built on that today

Rosaleigh was the mare with an attitude that needs adjusting. She was brought up to be the queen and needs taken down quite a few notches. Ayanna and Ribbon did excellent with that job. Today she was pretty respectful to Karin. To see the rest of Rosaleigh's pictures click HERE.   Roxanne had also remembered. Roxanne has a worry cup that easily overflows. Karin used a different approach with her. She wants Roxanne to focus and trust her even if the world is coming to an end.

To see the rest of Roxanne's pictures from today click HERE. As soon as both mares were done they and Anna were loaded up into the big trailer and off we drove to Middle Grove. These three will be living there for a couple months. Star, Lily and Lola were haltered to bring home.  It was so beautiful out there, Mike had moved the horses to the summer pasture and they were all having a ball. They came galloping over, greeted us, then went to meet the new mares. A bunch of them stopped at the small pond, jumped in splashing and rolling around. I had not brought my camera or phone so no pictures. While we were there an entire herd of deer came bounding through the woods. Karin helped load the three pregnant mares coming back. Their udders were checked but none of them are close to foaling. We have about 2 weeks before Star is due.Lily was put in with Ayanna, Lola and Star were put in the middle paddock. Mark is already in bed and I will be heading there as soon as this is finished. I'm sore and exhausted!
