Hannah, Anni and I left Hanna City at 8:25 am but needed to stop for gas first which took about 5 minutes. Rhoda beat us down to the fairgrounds and met us then helped back the truck and trailer down the narrow aisle to our stalls. I was sure the trailer was too long to be able to do it but amazingly we got it to fit. We took the 2006 Exiss 4 horse with a 4ft short wall 6 ft long wall dressing room so yes I was impressed. Thankful that happened though as we had so much to unload and by getting it backed right up to the stalls helped with the unloading. Anni, Rhoda and Hannah got right to work putting the bedding in each of the stalls, stacking the hay in the feed stall, unloading all the tack from the trailer and organizing it in the feed stall then hanging and filling all 20 water buckets. When the trailer was completely emptied we started with the decorations. The first 10 stalls were simple, we had everything all ready from last year but needed to make the decorations for the last 4 stalls. We had to quit at 2:30 pm in order to make it home in time to go to Lois's visitation. We just have 2 more stall fronts to make and install but will have time to do that tomorrow.
Karin took over the barn chores this afternoon, soaking Marika's hoof in Epsom salts twice today. She is still favoring her leg. Amy is going to pick up a couple tubes of Bute tomorrow and bring it down with her tomorrow afternoon.
We picked up the big truck from Meister's on our way home from the fairgrounds then made it home with 15 minutes to get ready for the visitation. Joan had already left so Hannah came with us. We walked in right after David, Stephanie and Israel. Mark went with them out to a Mexican resturant while Hannah and I ran to Sam's Club to pick up that last 50 pound bag of popcorn and a couple folding tables. We still made it to church a half hour early. Some days everything just seems to work out time wise. Mike Rieker is home from California and had the service tonight. It was good to be there, good to be reminded that even John the Baptist questioned Jesus and how kindly Jesus answered.
Just a reminder, there will be no workers tomorrow at the Berean office. Diane and Marvin worked today and were able to enter all the letters and mail out the Bibles we got ready on Tuesday. It sounded like they worked ALL DAY!
