Zulu, Rohan, Cadla Updates
After cooking breakfast, feeding horses and cleaning stalls it was time to hiked over to mom's to tell her potluck at Forrest, IL was cancelled so she will not have to worry about letting the dogs out for us tomorrow. Then came the visit to Sam's Club shortly after that for food for tomorrow and Tuesday's meals. Phil called asking if I would watch the girls so he could go help Nolan and Sarah with their house. Of course when one is in a hurry to get home for a treat like that one gets behind a slow moving vehicle with no room to pass. This wasn't just any old vehicle, this was a big tractor pulling a HUGE manure spreader full to overflowing with good rich manure. I must admit to admiring it from behind for what seemed like miles but probably only a couple. The girls had a lot of fun discovering and playing with all the new toys today.
Mark worked on trails, the solar system, and cut up probably a cord or more of wood. Next winter we will have 2 woodburners in this house to keep supplied plus the one in the apartment. We will be glad for the wood he is harvesting now.
The machines and trunks were organized, cleaned and put away today. It is nice to have that stuff out of the wreck (rec) room. It really was a wreck with so much stuff crammed into it.
A couple neat videos came today from people that own a Raven offspring. The first is from Lisa who owns Lily's colt by Valiant. Check out THIS handsome fellow. He is such a goof ball but so so beautiful.
The next video came from Pam, she owns a Raven daughter out of a short Gypsy mare. Check out the SIZE and the HAIR on this beautiful mare. She was participating in a Liberty clinic by the very famous clinician Dianne Olds Rossi.
The last photo of the day is of another Raven son. This is Velvet's colt Rohan, now all grown up. His owner Vicki was getting him read for a clinic.
Velvet was a nice registered paint mare but obviously this boy takes after his sire.
Check out the video below of Rohan when he was just 2 days old with his mom Velvet. At the end of the video he runs over to Raven.
