Today was the perfect day to move the 5th wheel but first Mark wanted to add gravel to the pad. The skid steer was used for that.
The problem with that job is the gravel was dumped by the new barn, which is a long way away from where the 5th wheel is going to be parked. Each load took about 10 minutes which gave me time to rake.
Once that was done the skid steer was parked and the tractor hooked up to the 5th wheel.
Below is a short video of the work today.
I had to stop at 4:30 as I was down to cook dinner for mom and take the 5:00 pm shift. We weren't happy with where we left it and I was explaining this to Joan when she suggested have the back of the 5th wheel up against the barn and that way both sides can have a good view and there would still be room to open the awning. That was the perfect solution. Maybe after church tomorrow we can give that a try. Ruth was with mom this morning and brought out the paint for mom. Mom always liked to paint and even has some talent but now she has to use her right hand to paint and that isn't easy for a left handed person. Still she did well for her first try since the stroke. Joan, Diane, and Karin helped mom go swimming this afternoon in the lake. Joan said the float Diane bought was perfect, mom could even paddle. They all said said it was a very relaxing afternoon floating around on the lake. I didn't get mom to bed until almost 8:30 tonight so the colt acted like he was starving by the time I got his night time formula up to him.
