Father's Day

 No storms last night which was a blessing. I went out early to let Rosaleigh and her colt out then tease and cover Bella, the outside mare while it was still cool. At 5:44 am I started peeling potatoes and by 6:30 am had 15 pounds of potatoes peeled, cut and soaking in salt water. Anna offered to make the party potatoes for the picnic this afternoon since we had a wedding reception to attend and I wouldn't have time to smash them after getting home before we ate.  Church was crowded as it was Father's day AND Tori Sticklings wedding.  David had the morning message on Father's day. We hung back before going through the lunch line to make sure there was room for the guests to sit down. Then came the wedding. Craig, Tori's dad had the wedding service. That was also downloaded and posted below:   

The wedding was beautiful as was the reception.

Jackie's sister decorated the cake, that icing is painted on.

They served bowls of different kinds of crackers, meats, cheese and fruit.

There were cupcakes for dessert with a coffee bar outside.

We made it home at 4:30 pm and the picnic was supposed to start at 5:00 pm. Ben left to pick up the chicken from Kroger and had to wait a few minutes so we started the picnic just a bit late but there was plenty of great food.

Mark and I left then to start moving in bales. The pond pasture group needed a new bale, the middle paddock needed a new bale and the cabin field needed a new bale. We got back in time to watch more volley ball and visit. It was too hot for a campfire so everyone left as it was getting dark.  Rosaleigh and her colt needed to be moved back inside as there is another possibility of more storms tonight. I've been up since 4:30 am and now ready to head to bed. What a wonderful day!
