3 More Gone

We had another good walk but I was late for the first part. Mom was able to walk to the barn, Diane's and then home. She was pretty thrilled that the Herman's found her deck planks in Taylor, Missouri. She hired Ruth and Fedi to go pick them up today. At 10:00 am Bella's owner arrived to pick her up but she was still showing so was covered before she left. That was the 11th horse gone since yesterday. I left for Aldi in Pekin and bought a bunch of groceries for our trip on Saturday. When I got back the laundry room and bath room were given a good cleaning. Joan and Faith came over to learn how to take care of the animals while we are gone. At 1:00 Lacy's owner sent a text that they were an hour away from arriving here to pick her up. Rhoda was going to go to Sam's club with me at that time so Lacy was put in the stall and Taunya met her owner while we shopped. That was the 12th horse gone since yesterday. Coming back from cleaning the barn a snake was crossing the drive.
Rizzy almost stepped on it. It quickly curled up and struck out at her. She jumped then ran to the golf cart. She did not want to mess with the snake.
Below it is heading to the yard.
We don't mind snakes around here, they eat mice. Rhoda and I filled the cart at Sam's then when we got home took a lot to the apartment and filled Taunya's refrigerator and freezer. The non perishables were all loaded into the big van. When Mark got home he checked all the fluids, tires then took that van for a trial run to make sure everything was working well. This evening Andrew and Rachel showed up to take the trailer. They are going camping up near Green Bay, Wisconsin.
Andrew had just backed his truck up to hook up when Easter Lilly's owner arrived to pick her up now that she is confirmed in foal by Valiant.
That was the 13th horse gone since yesterday. Tomorrow life will be easier and for sure easier for Faith who will be taking care of the animals here while we are gone. Ron, Taunya's dad provided us Gils for supper tonight Mark and I split a chicken dinner. That was delicious and even more so since I didn't have to cook it.
