Vet Visit

We had a good walk this morning, getting in lots of visiting. After the walk each foal that still needed hair pulled for the registration was brought into a stall, handled all over then hair pulled out of the tail. Most were not very happy with that. Once the hair was pulled from Madiera's colt, Sheena's filly, Rosaleigh's colt, Hadassah's filly, Jewel's filly, Tori's colt and Tatiana's filly and the hair safely in envelopes with the name of the mare the hair was taken inside and I started on the registration papers for the foals we have names for. The paper work to register each foal takes a lot of detailed work. By the time I finished it was 12:30 pm. It costs $360 to register and dna 6 of the foals. I still have 7 to register and will try to send the next batch out tomorrow. The last 4 will wait until they are sold OR we pick names for them. We still have available Hadassah's gorgeous all black 75% Friesian filly by Evan born May 27th, 2020 for sale for $5000.00.
The picture above was taken when she was 2 days old. She is more filled out and moves beautifully. Hopefully this weekend we can get updated pictures and videos of her. Jewel's 75% Friesian filly by Evan born May 29th, 2020 is also still available for $4500.00I really need to get updated pictures and a video of this filly too. She is a typical Jewel x Evan filly with great movement. The ONLY reason this filly is priced so low is because she is a bay not a black. Other than color she moves like a purebred, will have the hair of a purebred and will be tall. The picture of her below was of just 1 day old.
Sheena's filly by Valiant is also still for sale. This filly is half Friesian half Thoroughbred, has great bloodlines from both sets of parents AND we have her 3 year old FULL sister so we can show you how this filly is expected to look. She is priced at $5000.00 and is pictured below at just 5 hours old.
The last foal born and also the last foal we have for sale is Tatiana's filly by Valiant. She was born June 22nd, 2020 and is a purebred Friesian for sale for $8000.00 She is pictured below at 2 days old, the pictures were taken today once they were turned out into the field to graze.

She loved using the long legs to run around her mom and enjoyed tasting the grass. I left for Diane's office this afternoon and with her help got the check book balanced.  Dr. Hoerr arrived to do ultrasounds. We started with Lacy one of the outside mares and were disappointed to find her open. She was given a shot to short cycle and then Dr. Hoerr gave me another shot to give her after 3 days if she doesn't come in. The next mare done was Brandee's mare Lilly. Lilly hasn't been showing an sign of coming in and we wanted to see where she was in her cycle. Her left ovary was showing a 43 and a 44mm folicle so we will try to breed her in 2 days. Next was Belle the last outside mare to be done today. This mare was covered on Saturday but by Monday was screaming and kicking at Valiant. Dr. Hoerr found she had ovulated on Monday so the timing was perfect. Her owner is coming on Friday to pick her up. Ayanna was next and she was bred to Evan 18 days ago and was confirmed in foal. Ayanna is due May 15th, 2021.
Next we went into the indoor arena where Indy, Hadassah and Jewel were waiting. Indy was covered on the 22nd and had a bright clear CL meaning she had just ovulated yesterday or today. The timeing for her is also perfect. Hadassah is just coming in and should be ready to cover in 2 days. Jewel is a little behind her and should be covered in 3-4 days.
Taunya left for her birthday celebration and the kids came down to the house to keep me company while making dinner. Below they are chilling out on the porch swing.
After supper we had ice cream cones for dessert.
 mmmm good.
We were going to head over to mom's for church but when I walked outside Jace and Abe had spread pea gravel all over the patio, the steps, the drive and the golf cart. They were having a really good time while I was busy in the house. We all got brooms and went to work putting the pea gravel back where it belonged before heading over to mom's.
Dave Obergfel had the message tonight. After church mom served us stuffed mushrooms and Heather brought over ruhbarb cake. Both were delicious. Anni and Matt took the kids back to the apartment and are staying with them until Taunya gets home.  I downloaded pictures from the camera and found a few more Current River pictures.
If you would like to see them click HERE. Today was another long busy day
