A Mare For Valiant

We had a beautiful Sunday. Mark didn't sleep well last night and ended up staying home from church but mom and I went together and just happened to walk in with David, Stephanie, Elisabet and Israel. Tim Funk had the message this morning. After the first service a bunch of us went out to the parking lot, pulled out our folding chairs and lunch and ate together while enjoying the beautiful weather. Ruth and Fedi brought donuts for dessert just to make this Sunday ALMOST normal. Mike Rieker had the afternoon message. Today we could sing. Right after church I picked up 5 loaves of bread from Avanti's for our Sunday supper.
As soon as I got home the bale fork was put on the skid steer and a new bale was moved into the breeding shed. We have 2 outside mares coming in this week and will need that paddock. The far paddock also needed a new bale but the tractor was used for that one. Indy and her colt were fed extra grain and then moved in with Jewel, Hadassah, Tori and their foals.
Tonight for supper we had lasagna, salad, Avanti bread, watermellon and brownies for dessert. After supper we all went to the playground for volley ball. The kids had fun playing on the playground then in the sprinkler.

The volley ball games were entertaining to watch, lots of volleys and lots of diving on the nice soft sand. Matt, Annie's husband borrowed the tiller, tilled up the sand then watered it well. No one minded diving when the sand is not hard.  At 8:20 pm Brandee brought her mare Lilly to be bred to Valiant.
This will be Lilly's second foal by Valiant. The first was a filly that was just gorgeous. Below are a couple pictures of her Valiant filly taken by her new owner.

I sure understand why they want to breed her back to Valiant.
