Tumnus Returns

Joan told us on the walk that last night she was working out in the garden just as it was getting dark when Tumnus returned. He no longer likes apples but still likes grapes or seeds. The kids were all glad to see him.

He stayed around for attention then wandered back into the woods. Joan said he is always on alert though watching for dogs (other than Kabur)  Tumnus seems to show up when there are large groups of people. He showed up for Caleb and Emily's wedding then arrived during Indian camp.
I quit after one round of walk as I needed to drop off the golf cart tire at Peoria Tire and Vulcanizing before Berean. IF you would like to read about our morning there click HERE.  I had company coming at the farm at 1:00 pm and after Berean needed to stop for some groceries but the cotton candy machine needed to be dropped off at Skylines today and both Glenna and Shirley offered to take it there after Berean. Shirley ended up taking it as Glenna was heading to Morton first. That saved me enough time that I arrived home by 12:40, had just enough time to change, put away groceries then move a bale in for the far paddock. As the tractor was being put away 5 cars drove up. Amy brought some friends from Bridlewood out to see the new filly. It was wonderful to see everyone again. These were the ladies we knew from 30 years ago. Talk about a blast from the past. While I was visiting with them Joan brought a crew over to weed and work on landscaping here at the house. She needed the Chevy truck to pick up a load of pea gravel for that so the trailer was disconnected. We had haystacks for dinner tonight and after dinner Tatiana's stall was cleaned and she and her filly were put in the indoor arena for the night. The rest of the stuff from the canoe trip was cleaned out of the trailer. It was another good day.
