Father's Day 2020

It wasn't easy this morning, for some reason our bed felt exceptionally comfortable and hard to move out of. I finally made it out of bed at 5:15 am and still needed to make a pot of coffee. The programable coffee pot had been left in the horse trailer. That meant no fresh coffee until close to 5:30. a couple loads of laundry were done and the roast that was put in the crock pot last night was divided in half and one of the halves was put in another crock pot with half the liquid. We picked mom up for church around 8:15 am and got to the fellowship hall a few minutes early. We were thrilled to see a good crowd of people for this special service.  Gregg Rumbold had the message. Ruth took the short video below.
After the service we stopped at Sam's club for the rest of our meal tonight then headed home to finish cooking the meal. Rhoda and Lee dropped off Iris who will be staying with David and Stephanie for the next 2 nights. Iris was happy after her nap, at dinner, during swimming and on the way home.  She didn't even seem to miss her parents she was having such a good time today. Below are a few of the younger ones enjoying the lake. The older girls were busy cleaning and decorating the gypsy cottage they found in the woods.
Nolan was busy fishing and pulling in bass after bass along with a few crappies.
After supper we all headed over to the playground where a big group of volley ball players had arrived. There were more than 3 teams tonight. Spark and Rhonda had their family over, Diane and Mike had their family over and Dan brought his family out to join in all the fun. The playground was crowded and the games were fun to watch. Joan brought the horse trailer over toward the end of the evening and the volley ball players helped empty the trailer and move all the canoes down to the water. Thankful for such a nice day and such a nice time with lots of family.
