Sunday On Vacation

We all had breakfast together then David shared a message with us starting with a song and a prayer then reading the Bible and ending with another song and prayer.  After church David and Stephanie took their bikes and their two children for a bike ride.
Rhoda and Lee found a church just minutes away from our house and left after David's message for that church. Iris was taking a nap so we offered to keep her with us until they got back.  When she awoke Phil was the only one Iris would let hold her.
The weather was perfect for playing in the pool and the grand children all had another day of fun.
Even the adults had fun in and out of the pool.

We were visited by a lizard with a bright blue tail.
We had our steak dinner tonight. Ben and Taunya just happened to be wearing matching shirts so they got the table of honor.

After supper it was back to playing. David had a rousing game of pool basket ball with all the older grandchildren.
When they got tired of that Rhoda played games inside with them.

If you would like to see the rest of the pictures from today click HERE. We were kept busy all day playing.
Joey wrote in the Trip West Journal last night about their vacation for Sunday. He writes: Day 6 Sunday
Today was amazing! At around 7:30 this morning we had a delicious breakfast of pancakes and sausage. We packed up our camp site, but instead of leaving to our next destination we tuned in to the Peoria service and heard a great message! We set off from camp sometime around 10:30ish. Heather read more of the book Bruchko in the car, and afterwards some of us watched a movie in the van while others slept or attempted to do so. After about a 3-4 hour drive we arrived at Arches National Park in Utah. We got to see some amazing views and of course several majestic arches. We then went to our campsite, and set everything up. We hung out around camp for a couple hours and got to explore around for quite a bit. We had a great supper of Macaroni and Cheese. Quickly afterwards we piled up into the van and headed a short distance away to view an absolutely stunning sunset. It was amazing to see the sun shine through the different rock formations and over the great valleys. As the sun dipped below the horizon we hiked a short distance up to a beautiful and majestic arch where we had a great view. We all sat under the great arch and sang praises to the Lord, as we appreciated the great beauty that He had set before us. Eventually, we headed back to camp, and prepared for bed. As we brushed our teeth, we were able to look up at the sky and see the beautiful canopy of stars above, which are such a testimony to His great strength. It was an amazing day, and we're all thankful for the beauty that God has given us the privilege to see. ~Joey
