Goose Ranch Horses

This morning the Exiss trailer was cleaned out for a trip out of town to pick up 4 horses.  These 4 are Tennessee Walkers, 3 black and 1 red roan.  The 2 geldings were huge probably 16.2 hands. The 2 mares are 7 years old and the 2 geldings are 5 years old.  They were taken straight to the Giant Goose Ranch. Shaeya is going to saddle train the geldings and hopefully they will be part of the herd there.  Below they are in their new pasture at the ranch.

The two mares were taken to our place. They will be bred to Evan and Valiant.  The black mare is named Abby. She is around 15 hands. She is a little shy but not at all mean. She was taken to the round pen and given her first lesson.

Of course I had to get pictures while that was happening. She does not like to be haltered and was not sure she could trust me but after 20 minutes was turning in and almost following.  She will be bred to Evan.
The second mare is taller, probably around 15.2 or 15.3. She is a beautiful light red roan named Cinnamon.  She was also taken to the round pen. She didn't take quite as long as Abby as turn in and follow but has a little more of an attitude. After working with both I believe they will be pretty easy to train.  Cinnamon will be bred to Valiant.
With her unique coloring she could easily throw a blue roan!

Both mares have wonderful conformation, lots of mane and tail and both are gaited. They should both be easy to get under saddle.
This evening Mark finished the mowing and weed whacking.  Tomorrow the travelers come home from Gulf Shores.  It has sure been quiet around here with everyone gone this week.
