Dinosaur Fight

Jace and Abe were playing with the blocks and dinosaurs this morning and had quite a fight going on between the T-Rex and the Stegosaurus.  Of course a picture needed to be taken.

Jace went back to the apartment to get dressed then came right back to do more building of walls and tunnels.
Today I took the truck down to David and Stephanie's house and loaded up their bikes, the bike trailer for kids, scooters and a big wheel for our vacation coming up Saturday.  As soon as I got home Tatiana was teased. She is still in but not covered as she was done yesterday.
She sure is a beautiful mare with all that HAIR!
Her filly is just exquisite.

I'll try Tatiana tomorrow morning and if she is still in get her covered before hauling her and Rosaleigh out to Middle Grove. A bale was moved into the middle paddock and the riding horses moved there. Karin will haul them all out to Middle Grove after the trail ride Saturday.
Hannah sent back pictures from their big trip out West.

They visited Pike's Peak today.

From Heather's Journal of the Trip:
8/1/19 Day 3 Thursday We spent the night at Vern and Janell Salter’s house in Colorado Springs. Our morning began with a nice breakfast with even nicer conversation with Vern and Janell. Vern is finishing his masters in counseling at Colorado Christian University. As fellow missionaries we all understood one another and had a lot of shared experiences. We then took off in the white van to Pike’s Peak. It is over 14,000 feet in elevation. We made a point to drive directly to the top. The tree line was very apparent. Above that Berlica was the first to see some Yellow-bellied Marmots at about 13,000 feet. We saw a herd of young Bighorn Sheep after that and a large flock of ravens. We could only park at the top for 30 mins so we explored around and took lots of photos and helped other tourists get photos of their whole group. We bought freshly made doughnuts which were devoured before we left the parking lot. On the way down we stopped for a good while at a large parking area where we explored. It was beautiful with salmon-colored rocks surrounded by delicate alpine flowers. Erik, Ellie and Mackenson hiked down to some snow. We left the National forest and ate our picnic lunches at Garden of the Gods city park. The rock formations there are amazing. Then we went to the Navigators headquarters just north of there and took pictures of the Glen Eyrie castle and visited the bookstore/carriage house. Sean saw Lesser Goldfinches there and bought a delicious mocha coffee which he shared with Ellie and Joey. We drove to an overlook on Mesa Ave and took photos and then went back to the Salter’s for grilled cheeseburgers. Yum! Joan and crew went to Walmart and then to a singing at a local Nazarene church. Heather and Janell got to visit for a good hour before going there too. Erik played online games with Ian and Sean folded laundry and read a Louis L’amour book. It was a good day.
