Home Sweet Home

We awoke early and the first breakfast was served to Phil and Anna's family so they could head to the St. Louis Zoo for this last day of vacation.  Rhoda & Lee and Sarah & Nolan were served breakfast next.  They all stayed and helped finish cleaning the vacation home before we all left for home. The dogs were excited to see us arrive. We have Studly staying here while Karin is on vacation this next week.  The unpacking was done and the horses checked on before working on the pictures.  All of the pictures and videos from the week were put on a flash drive then transferred to the home computer. The pictures from yesterday were downloaded. The grandkids had fun posing for pictures with the basket of balloons Rhoda and Lee provided.
The also had fun playing on the playground and swimming in the pool.
Nolan had fun teaching Zion and Abe how to use a bat.
That baseball practice really builds one's appetite. Abe was so hungry he crawled up on the counter for his sandwich.
The kids organized all the toys and set up a store to sell them to each other.
After lunch Iris was put in her pretty dress and the balloons basket brought outside for pictures.
Iris wasn't too happy inside the basket so some of the other kids posed for us in the basket.
Above is Kensley and below is Zion with Iris on the outside of the basket.
We tried Iris again in the basket with the other grandchildren around to get her to smile but she wanted OUT.
Kensley and Jace could barely fit.
Jack and Jace were willing to pose for a picture.
Below is my favorite picture of Ben and Taunya's 4 children. I'm sure going to miss them.
They left for Texas and we won't see them again until Thanksgiving. We had Phil and Anna's children join in for a group picture.
Little Eden was sleeping but Zion and Iris were happy to climb in the basket after Iris got her fancy dress off and Zion put that fancy dress on.
Lee and Jace went outside for one more bike riding lesson before the Texas Sceggel's left.
If you would like to see the rest of the posing pictures of the day click HERE. It is quiet here for the first time in weeks. There won't be any grandchildren coming over early in the morning for their special breakfast. I'm going to miss them!
Mike sent this video below of the herd enjoying life at Middle Grove.
