Too tired this evening to download any pictures. We had a long hard day at the Berean office. Thankfully we had a lot of help. Emily sent through a text that she would tease Dakota and get her covered if she was still in which gave me a few minutes of extra time to finish printing out the Bible labels. As soon as I got home Bunni, Cookie and Rosalie were loaded for the trip to Middle Grove but before we left Jenis was teased. She was out so she was loaded too.
Karin met Emily, her friend and me at Middle Grove with the gate wide open. She explained she had already driven her car back to the big field and none of the horses were there so she thought we should start by hiking up the steep hill to look. Emily and her friend jumped on Bunni and Cookie bareback to go looking while Karin and I hiked. We found them all grazing under the trees on the top. Jenis and Rosalie took off running for the herd and as soon as the herd saw them they came galloping up to greet them which cut off a bunch of hiking for us. On this trip we planned to bring home Ripper for gelding and Winston (Prissy's colt) for weaning but when I started looking all the horses over we decided to bring Eliza home with us. She has lost some weight and I want to get her teeth looked at. All went well leading Prissy, Ripper and Eliza down to the trailer until Winston decided he was not going to follow his mom but stay with the herd. Emily and I took Ripper and Eliza down to the trailer then hiked back up to help Karin with Winston. With the 4 of us we were able to get a set of reins around his neck which we hooked up to Prissy. This way he had to follow his mom down to the trailer. That worked slick and soon I was on my way home with the 3. Eliza was taken over to the big field with Ribbon but was offered grain first. To my surprise she wasn't too interested in eating it. She isn't skinny, we can't see or feel her ribs but she isn't chunky either and for her to not want to eat the grain is a little disturbing. I spent some time watching her. She looks ok but I'll call the vet tomorrow anyway. Now that she is here we will de-worm her with a panacur power pack and have her teeth looked at. Ripper (Soul's 2014 colt) was put in Raven's old paddock and Winston put in with the weanlings. Then it was past time to go in to make supper. After supper we went for a walk around the neighborhood. Hopefully this weekend new pictures and a video will be taken of Winston. He is pretty spectacular, tall, well built, flashy color and regal.
