Edie and Roma were put to work in the other room on the mail that came in today. Thankfully we had a light mail day, the 2 of them could easily keep up. These 2 ladies not only opened the mail, they also took each step needed to process it and get the studies ready for grading and the new studies stuffed, stamped and ready to mail.
While Diane and I were finishing up on the computer the rest were in folding studies for next week.
Diane and I took the loaded van to the post office with over 500 Bibles to go out. We also UPS'd about 100 Bibles to Chaplains waiting. Kind of scary when over 600 go out in one week. We have just 1 pallet left of Bibles down at Meisters which Mark is going to deliver on Tuesday. If any strong person wants to show up around 9:00 am Tuesday to help unload we would all be so grateful. After dropping off the Bibles we went back to the shop so Diane could drive my car and I could drive the truck home. The truck had an appointment to get the oil changed at French's. The next job on the list was to start packing the trailer.
Tomorrow morning Emily and her brother Matt are leaving to pick up a couple new mares. These are half sisters to Killian and are coming from New Hampshire. They both have Othello as their sire but different mom's. One dam is by Anton 343 and the other dam is by Goffert 369, both well known and respected stallions. Praying they have a safe trip. Rhoda was called today about Darcy. Darcy had a couple accidents in the house last night which is unheard of. We were concerned enough to call and schedule a vet appointment for this 10 and a half year old dog.
Then a bit later I realized it was 83 degrees outside yesterday, I bet she went swimming. When Darcy goes swimming she drinks way too much and that is about the only time she has ever leaked. I haven't cancelled the vet appointment yet but today there have been no accidents so if all is good tomorrow morning I'll cancel.
The man buying Hadassah's filly sent a payment. Emily and I were talking about Hadassah's first foal, a colt purchased by the lady leading him in the picture below.
We never heard back from her and just were wondering how he was doing. We named him Solomon, I'm not sure if the new owners kept that name but we would sure love an update on him.
The other horse we were talking about is Lola. Lola has had 2 colts for us and both were fancy fancy fancy. This year Lola was bred to Killian. She is due mid April. This is the only Killian foal we are expecting in 2016.
