Jousting

The weanlings are all doing so well. Walter, Sangria's colt was taken out for trailering practice. He is leading and loading well. Sarah Reinhard came early to help with making a short video of him for some prospective buyers.

He was pretty low key today but even so his regular trot is open, with a push from behind. He will be smooth to ride but flashy. The dressage judges are going to love this guy.

Jesse Stickling arrived as we were putting him back with the other foals. The mares we were hauling to the jousting demonstration were Jenis and Ribbon and they both were way out in the big field. We jumped on the golf cart to go pick them up. We arrived at Calvary Baptist Church on Nebraska where the home school co-op is meeting an hour early which gave the horses time to warm up. The jousting went great, the kids loved it, the riders loved it and even the horses seemed to enjoy the outing.

After the jousting the kids posed for a picture then were all invited to try the horses out.
The rest of the pictures are posted on the Horsemeister Inc Facebook page. To see them click HERE
As soon as we got back Ribbon was covered by Valiant. Mark helped move a round bale in Evan's paddock, then we took a long walk around the neighborhood. Mike replaced the post that Kensley and the golf cart took out. Karin and Nolan took Ribbon and Jenis on a trail ride this evening. We had a very busy but weird day around here. I wanted to get the pictures of the day up on the computer but when we got home the electricity was off. When it came back on the computer screen had such a strange display, the pictures were stretched waaayyy out making the horses look very long and the people very fat. After working on it over an hour Philip was called and even with his help over the phone it was another half hour before we got it right. Then I was working on the pictures until supper but after supper Mark wanted to go for a walk. When we got back the screen was sideways and the mouse didn't work. What in the world? This time it only took about 45 minutes to fix. Then I finally was ready to upload the pictures to Facebook except they were not in the correct order. By this time I was too frustrated to fix this problem so just entered them...not in the order they were taken.
