Valiant's Dressage Clinic
Right after the walk there was just enough time to rush down to Meisters pay the first of the month bills (a few days late) pull out on to the loading dock 8 boxes of Bibles for Mark to take to Skyline Home for wrapping. He has a board meeting down there tonight and can bring back the already wrapped Bibles from last month. I needed to be on the road with Valiant by 9:30am to get him to the clinic on time. We arrived with enough time to take a few pictures of him outside on this beautiful warm December 3rd day.
He is so handsome. Lorna the owner of the barn watched Steven bring Valiant into the barn, into the stall and tack him up. Almost the first words out of her mouth were, "your young stallions are strangely well behaved." We just take for granted they will be good and would be shocked if they weren't. Steven explained that Lorna was impressed because they had a 3 year old Friesian stallion come in a couple of years ago that was very hard to handle. By the way that stallion is now a gelding. Perhaps our boys heard about what happens to ill behaved young boys. The clinician was the same lady that worked with Evan and Steven last month. She was quite impressed with Valiant's attitude and trot. His canter on the other hand needs work. There is not enough lighting in the indoor arena to get good pictures but here a couple.
Valiant was glad when it was time to head home. One more picture of this handsome Raven son.
We are so glad we kept him!
I am working on a video of the lesson but Valiant was not near as entertaining as Evan was. No bucks, no bad behavior at all, just a good hard working young stallion and his talented rider.
