He IS Risen!

Easter morning and no baskets for us. Gone are the days we stayed up late making Easter baskets and then hiding them. We are now almost the 'oldest' generation. We needed to leave by 7:00 am to make it to the fellowship hall by 7:30 am for our sunrise breakfast and the first Easter service of the day. Poor Joan, she got in her car to go to mom's and her car wouldn't start. She ended up taking Faith's car over to mom's house then taking mom's car. She still made it in time for the breakfast. After a delicious breakfast the tables were taken down and the chairs arranged in record time.  The first group to sing was the group meeting on Tuesday evenings. They started with Just Because He Lives. Well Nancy knows that song and was singing along. She isn't on tune nor gets the words right all the time but loves to sing praises to Jesus.  She even clapped for herself when that song was done.

The second song she didn't know so just listened. The men's group was next and they also sang 2 songs.
Mike Rieker had the message. He finished in plenty of time for us to get to church in time for Easter service.  Leon Kaisner had a special gift ready for us when we arrived. He was able to make a place for a wheel chair up toward the front of church. Mom no longer needs to sit near the back. Tim Roecker had that message. After church we left pretty quickly as I had food to prepare. The potatoes had been put in the oven this morning and turned on at 6:45 am on 325 and all of them were done. Later I found that they were over done. We may not be able to make baked potatoes when there is only an hour from the time we get home until the time we eat.  The cheesy carrots were put in the oven.  The left over cheese sauce was melted and Nancy helped stir that. She loves helping out.
We really had a feast at Joan's house. Nolan brought his special smoked brisket and there was two kinds of steak. Joan marinated some in teriyaki and some was grilled with season salt, a little pepper and a sprinkle of garlic. Check out the food line.
Joan had tables set up downstairs and there was plenty of room for 50 or so that showed up. Below are a few pictures.

It was a beautiful sunny day outside so after the dinner we went to the playground for an Easter egg hunt. Then it was so nice we stayed outside visiting until 5:30 pm to head to the gym for volley ball. If you would like to see more of the pictures from today click HERE.  Below is a video of just some of the activities of the day.
Mike and Diane went out to Middle Grove and took the 2 horse trailer. They were going to put in a boat then were going to bring Tatiana and Irish home. She said it was interesting. Her words, You can take a 4 wheeler all around the summer pasture and not see a single horse, you can take a jeep around and again no horses in sight but if you bring the truck and trailer the horses come from all over and surround the truck and trailer. She sent back the pictures below.
That is Indy in the front, she needs to come back soon to be bred. In front of Indy is Rosaleigh's rump and last is Oksana.
I was trying to figure out WHICH horse in in the picture below, she does not look like any of our Friesians or any of our horses and finally remembered, That is Blueberry. She is a 16.3 hand TB mare that will need to be brought in to be bred when we bring Indy in.

Tatiana is posted below, she is due May 1st so was brought in today with Irish the Gypsy mare.
We got a very nice update from the lady that bought Tatiana's filly 2 years ago. She named her Sofia and wrote: Happy Easter. Wanted to share a picture of Sofia. She follows my husband around like a puppy. Best purchase EVER! Hope you are well. Thank you for the wonderful gift.
We really do love updates, especially THOSE kind of updates. Praying Tatiana has a safe delivery and a healthy foal. Nancy was taken home at 6:30 pm.
