We had a beautiful morning. I went out early to feed and the air was so clear that the phone was taken out for a few pictures. Below is Valiant
He was staring at the mares across the yard. Below is Evan who was staring at me hoping I was bringing him a treat.
Below is Rosalie and Irish.
Lily and her filly were busy eating hay.
Tatiana came up to see what I was doing left to right is Irish, Rosalie and Tatiana in the picture below. Rosalie makes the other two look small.
They really aren't small, Tatiana is easily 16 hands just that Rosalie is 17 hands and those extra 4 inches seem to make a huge difference. Irish is probably 15.2.
I could hear neighing from the cabin field so went to check on Sally and Cookie but when one mare came running up I knew immediately it was Dancer. I thought Mike must have brought Dancer and Cookie.
On the walk I found out he made two trips and brought Missy and Sally in one trip and Cookie and Dancer in the other.
When we reached the dam Joan found a praying mantis nest attached to a stick.
She broke it off and took it home, they will hatch out 100s of tiny praying mantis. When we reached the retention pond dam there were geese and turtles all lined up.
When we reached our place there was that goose all hunkered down in our yard. The mate of this goose was in the broken tree and took off as we walked buy.
My airbnb guest sent the text and picture below.
We loved staying here. How peaceful!!! These owls last night were amazing.
That is Dr. Who and his mate, each one sitting on the outdoor arena light poles. They were calling back and forth to each other. During the night last night the 5th wheel booked for today so once the current guest left I got busy, emptied the tanks, filled the fresh water tank, switched out the bedding with clean linens, brought in clean towels, cleaned it then brought the laundry down to the house. Since the weather is so beautiful the umbrella was brought out and set up.
We left a little early for church so I could switch out the Bible studies. Gregg Rumbold had the message on John 21. A good message if you would like to see it click HERE. We joined the crowd at Culvers for a late supper.
