Those same silly geese were back on our drive this morning when it was time to walk.
When us walkers got to our yard the female had hunkered down in the tall grass in our yard to start nesting. That wasn't going to work at all as the mowing will start on Thursday. Thankfully they moved to the pond this afternoon. Too many people walking back and forth from our house to the barn. There was no wind this morning and the sun was shining. When we got to the dam Rachel's house was lit up by the morning sun the lake was like a mirror and the colors were so bright I took a picture to share the beauty.
On the way back I took a picture of Joan's house, that too has red in the picture, a red canoe.
Another picture of Rachel's from across the lake.
We rarely get such a still quiet morning. The only sounds when we quit talking were the many birds singing, proclaiming joyfully they made it through the night.
Mom's wheelchair broke on Sunday and the new one isn't going to be here until Thursday so Diane stayed with mom today while I drove to Berean by myself. IF you would like to read about our morning there click HERE. I stopped at the Hanna City post office to drop off the Bibles and studies on the way home. It was so nice that mom and Diane were out on the deck enjoying cake. Diane made an appointment for Molly to be bathed and groomed but the soonest she could get her in was a week from tomorrow so Diane gave her a bath then made her sit in the sun to dry out on the deck.
Our airbnb guest in the 5th wheel asked if she could stay another night. She wrote: It was a lot of fun last night, the stars out here are absolutely gorgeous!
She requested more wood as they loved sitting around the campfire admiring the many stars. When I got home I split more kindling, loaded up a few more logs and took it over to the 5th wheel. She had also gone into the woods and pulled out some dead limbs to burn.
I'm really pleased they are enjoying themselves. Both Lily and Rosalie were covered again today. They won't need to be teased again until Thursday. For supper tonight we had leftovers but they were really good left overs. The steak was from Easter, the baked potato from Easter diner was peeled then fried, the last of the asparagus was cooked for the veggie.
Mark needed a hair cut after dinner then drove to Casey's to pick up diesel fuel for the mowers. One of the tires on the grasshopper mower was flat so Mark took that off and took it over to Mike's big air compressor to fill it. He will put it back on the mower tomorrow if the air holds. We got word today that Bill Schick passed away. For him though today and now the rest of eternity is GLORIOUS. He is with his Jesus whom he served and loved for many years. Our sympathy goes out to his wife Joan and their many children and grand children. We already miss him but they will miss him so much. So we don't say good by we we say, "until we meet again."
Below are a few more pictures and just a tiny bit of his life in Mexico at Casa Vida y Esperanza . Bill and Joan's oldest son Billy married Diane and Mike's daughter Jenny.
Bill and Joan with more of their children.
At the orphanage in Magdalena. Our son David is 3rd from the right.
The red head is Emily who came to us from Mexico to train horses. Bill talks about adoption in the music video below by the Christian group Third Day:
