This morning when it was light enough to see Mark and I went out to move in bales. Valiant's paddock needed a new bale as did the weanling paddock. The skid steer has the bale spear on as we have the snow plow on the tractor and the skid steer needed antifreeze. I was glad Mark came out to help with that. Just as we finished the rain started up landing on the packed snow and ice of the drives which made them very slippery. We made it to the main road without a problem then after church Mark went out to spread salt to help. We had a special day in the Peoria church. Tim and Diane Roecker were home from Texas after their bad accident and Tim had the morning message. He told us about the accident before starting the service. Then at lunch today the men served the women a special Valentine's lunch. Our table was served by Rich Schock and Craig Stickling and they really did a decent job making sure we were all taken care of. Tim Funk had the afternoon service. Gregg Rumbold and his son Dayton gave the message at the jail and Gregg told us the parking lot was a sheet of ice when he got to church. Thankfully by the time afternoon church got out it had all melted. It was still raining but not hard. A bunch of us ended up at mom's house for Sunday dinner. Joan picked up Nancy. Below Nancy is checking out Iris' brand new pop book.
Iris loves sitting on great grandma's rocking horse.
There were so many of us for dinner that we ate in shifts with most of the adults eating first.
Some had to eat on the couch.
After dinner Joan took Nancy to the South Side Mission where Peoria was holding the services tonight before taking her back home to Morton, IL. The rest of us just stayed and visited. The horse show plans are coming along. We have quite a few children signed up to ride in the show. We will have it here but still don't have a date picked out. What we do know is we will have concessions, lots of goodies. The cotton candy machine will be put to work along with the popcorn machine and of course we will be serving other food items for the hungry hoard. Stay tuned for the date. The public will be invited and this will be a good time to get to see the horses of Horsemeister.
