Moving Manure

Mark started on this job yesterday but the rain held off so after he got the grass seed spread on the new trails, pasture and yard he started working on paddocks. We now have a manure pile near the middle of the barn circle drive. It will be moved and spread on the fields later. While he was working on that Steven arrived, we got Indy covered by Evan, Worked with Killian on the lay down (almost perfect) and the sit from the lie down ( almost getting that) then headed out to Middle Grove to pick up the trailer and move a few mares home. The wind was blowing and gusting some close to 50 miles an hour and the horses were all excited and running. The camera was taken out for some action shots.
Sangria was right in the middle of the pack.
Below is Cor Arianna who was bred to Valiant and if in foal due August 28th, 2013 and Mytross who was also bred to Valiant due June 24th, 2013 Both were having fun racing.
Notice Mika in the picture below, he found a mud puddle to roll in.
They settled down when they saw Steven coming with the bucket. Mika is now 2-toned.
Mika took off running again.
Below is Hadassah and Lily pony.
It didn't take long for Holly to settle down and start grazing.
Notice Sangria the show-off behind Cookie and Holly.

We loaded up Holly, Lilypony and Hadassah and took them to the Hanna City farm. Holly needs a pregnancy check and Hadassah is due in a month and needs to be here for that. Lilypony is in season right now. We will probably get her covered tomorrow by Evan. Once the 3 mares were unloaded Steven took the Lily and Rosalie out to Middle Grove. We still need to bring home Prissy, Cor Arianne, and Missy for pregnancy checks and Cookie to breed to Evan.
This afternoon Audra the letter writer arrived to see the Friesians. First job for her was to play with Ella's filly. We want this filly use to children and Audra was the perfect person for that. Next Jenis was brought out, groomed, tacked up and taken to the outdoor arena.
After a short ride, Jenis was untacked and let loose to have some fun. She galloped around showing off. Audra was put back on for the next couple of pictures.

After Audra and her mom left Mark and I moved a round bale in the breeding shed to prepare for the mare coming in for breeding tomorrow. Hadassah, Lilypony and Holly were moved into Lily's paddock, Ella's stall picked and finally I'm ready to come in to prepare dinner.
