Auction Night

Tonight was auction night at the Heart of IL Arena. It is always so much fun, the heart starts pounding, the excitement builds each minute as Rhoda and I start looking over the tack. There were quite a few used things tonight and that is what we usually go for. We didn't go to buy horses tonight although it is fun to look at what is for sale. We were looking for usable tack, fly spray, lead ropes, yearling halters, more water buckets. We bought RepelX fly spray, not ready to use, we bought the cans that need to be diluted. Each can makes 2 gallons and we bought 6 cans. There were some yearling halters up next, the man told us they were made by the Amish, heavy duty brass and nylon, not poly. We bought 10 of those for $5.00 each. Then came the water buckets. I went a little crazy and bought 30 for $4.50 each.
Below we were waiting anxiously on what he's going to pull out of the box next.
I LOVE those kind of lead ropes. We bought all he had at $5.00 each.
We also bought a used 14 inch saddle for some of our pony rides. 10 Neon LIME green horse size halters for $5.00 each. Four used western saddle pads, a complete pony bridle for Knight and much much more.
This is what the car looked like afterward. It was really too dark to see much but the entire back seat is filled from the floor up to the edge of the back seat.

We unloaded the car morning to see all of our treasures.
