What a Sunday! Mark and I drove separately to church again as he went to the early morning sing. I got stuck in a traffic jam driving to mom's to pick her up for church. All of Joan's family spent the night and all left for church at the same time and I just happened to be going the wrong way so had to pull over and wait for the cars to pass. See Aunt Jinny it isn't just New Jersey that has bad traffic. Why we almost had to speed to get to church on time. David Obergfel had the morning message on how we KNOW that Jesus loves me and Tim Funk had the afternoon message on the body of Christ followed by the baptisms of Cooper and Jennifer. I had a booking come in last night for the apartment today but the people coming in said they were going to be here around 5:00 pm so I was glad I didn't need to rush home to get the apartment cleaned and ready. Our guests from yesterday helped out by starting the laundry. As soon as I got home the pumpkin dessert was shoved into the oven, the pot roast (that was cooked yesterday and sliced this morning) was taken out of the fridge and added to the onions and carrots I had cooking in the crock pot and then I headed up to clean starting around 1:30 pm. Mark came up to help. I finished at 4:00 pm walked into the house when my phone went off that the guests were here and special thanks for the cookies. Whew just made it. Israel got to go swimming with Oksana.
Dinner was finished. Mom, David and Stephanie's family and Lee and Rhoda's family joined us for dinner. We took our time eating and visiting and was just cleaning up when Phil and Anna's family arrived after their fun camping weekend. They were given the left overs and we headed over to the playground. What a Sunday
Below the cousins are having a fun football game.
Mom, Shirley and Martha Kay were watching the entertaining volley ball games.
Below is a short video of some of the volleyball games.
Below Israel is entertaining us with music.
Mark, Dana and Ron were busy solving the worlds problems.
Zion, Elisabet and Eden were making a nature park with twigs, crab apples and leaves.
Daisy saw Diesel and exclaimed, "there's a LION!"
Braelyn found a walking stick.
Those not playing volleyball walk and visit.
A few of the kids playing on the playground equipment.
The games quit well after dark and once the adults quit the kids took over the court but not to play volleyball, they were making volcanoes out of the sand. We had a nice camp fire, some'mores were cooked, singing was done and of course lots more visiting before everyone headed home. It was a nice evening and a very busy Sunday.
The news on Tim is about the same. He reported he a good night last night and was able to have visitors today.
