Sandridge Trail Ride

Karin sent back this short video of the trail ride at Sandridge State Forest.
The riders had a very good ride. The horses were very well behaved and the trails were not muddy.
She also sent this one picture.
Shaeya sent the pictures below of their ride.

While they were out playing, the girls and I were out working.  The apartment bedding was all washed along with the towels and the beds made up.  We found lots of worms from the rain so drove the golf cart over to the lake to feed the fish but stopped to take a couple pictures of Zalena's colt taking a nap in the field.
He saw us and got up to come over for some attention. That is his mama Zalena behind him. By the way she is for sale for $12,000 and that price includes her 2019 foal due in June.
We finally made it to the lake to feed the fish.
While Taegan was feeding the fish, Kensley was having a good time rolling down the hill. Taegan came up to join her.
Mom was out working on her garden and mentioned that she couldn't find her walnut pickeruper.
It was in the garage and once that was found the girls got to take turns picking up walnuts with it.

Karin called about then to say they were back. We took the golf cart back in time to watch them put the horses away. Hadassah got hosed down then Shaeya put her away.
Sadie worked on bringing the saddles to the barn.
Karin worked on Tory's mane and tail applying MSG to help her hair grow back then took Indy and Tory back to the paddock.
Wren rode Oksana on the trails then helped untack her, hose her down and then led her back to the paddock. We start them out young around here.

After the mares were put away, Zalena's colt came to the fence begging for attention.
He was so sad when they walked away.
Anna picked up the girls, the sauce to go over the chicken for tomorrow was made. Mark got home and ate dinner and we had a quiet evening. I just got back from taking care of Sheena for the night and will head to bed soon. It was a beautiful sunny day and we all appreciated that sunshine after the 3 days of rain.
