Rainy Day Blues

Not a very good night last night. I forgot to turn the electric blanket on to warm the bed up before we headed for bed so turned it on just as we got into bed. My frozen feet just couldn't warm up. Hours later those feet were still cold. I figured that electric blanket had already gone kaput. All night long the bed just didn't warm up and only by morning did I realize the electric blanket had become unplugged. We awoke to rain and it stayed gray and rainy. Mark got a hot fire going in the wood burner and the house was comfortable. Since I sure didn't want to work outside I listened to AC Central while working on the mileage chart for the truck finishing that about 2:00 pm.  Mark came home for lunch then worked on the solar system at Joan's finishing installing all the microinverters.  It should be up to full capacity tomorrow. Spark is going to hook it up tomorrow.  Spark took down a huge old oak tree over by his house today, it was so huge he needed to get the skid steer to drag it off the road but even that didn't work. The fallen tree was digging up the gravel drive. They ended up needing to cut it into sections to move it off the drive.
Mom, Joan, Faith, Mackenson and Berlica went to Silver Dollar City today and ran into Amy Koch's daughter Jamie and her husband John and their 5 children. Jamie sent this picture by text to Amy and she passed it along to me.
A very nice email came in from the lady that bought Hadassah's 2018 filly by Evan. She sent the picture below and wrote this: Judy,
I just wanted to share this cute picture of Ellagance.
She enjoys laying in her bed that she makes with her hay & eat as she’s laying down!
She loves to lay & sleep a lot! I can’t get her up from her naps, unless I bring her bag of cookies, if not, she will not get up until she’s ready! She’s a silly girl!
We have bonded all ready!
When I call her name, she screams back & will come running from the pasture to visit! ❤️❤️
We sure do appreciate updates and especially ones with pictures.  Karin had a trail ride scheduled for Jubilee tomorrow but found out because of the rain the trails are closed. As that ride is now cancelled it should free up the truck and trailer to run out to Middle Grove tomorrow to pick up Indy. Indy has an ultrasound scheduled for Tuesday afternoon.  It is not suppose to rain tomorrow until evening so that should work.
I just had a guest book the barn apartment, coming in tomorrow for a wedding. Today I went to Aldi and bought two new pillows and a new rug for the front door so those need to be put in there and the finishing touches of clean-up done in the morning.
