Sarah and Nolan's wedding is coming up fast. Today Sarah, Emily, I started ironing table cloths while Matt set up the tables. Mark arrived and helped Matt for about a half hour before he was called back to work. Jessica, Anni and Rebekah arrived around lunch time to start decorating the tables. For some reason none of the girls wanted to let me 'help' with the decorating. I even brought along my fairy lights we used for the horses at the Springfield show. Notice those sparkly lights in their manes and tails in the picture below.
I thought we should decorate the food table, the cake table, the candy table and the wedding party table with hundreds of fairy lights but the girls just wouldn't allow it. I may sneak some in right before the wedding (these would be new ones, not yet used on any of the horses). A wedding ought to be magical and fairy lights help fill that bill. It rained most of the night last night and rained all day today sometimes a heavy downpour and sometimes just a light sprinkle but it never stopped and is still raining as this is being typed. We are SO waterlogged here in Illinois. In fact I read today that Illinois was the wettest state in the entire United States of America the month of June and July seems to be following right along. It was also cold today, hovering around 57 degrees all day.
I left the fellowship hall and made it home just in time to get the first load of laundry started before Mark came home for supper. We just had left over lasagna then had to push it to get ready for church in time. Mom came with me but on the way to church told me she felt a cold coming and by the end of church was not feeling well at all. We didn't stay visiting too long. We followed a car home that had us wondering if the driver could be on drugs. The driver of the car pulled right out in front of a car but thankfully the second car was able to slam on the brakes and the first car didn't get hit. Then we ended up following that first car all the way home! It was Hannah driving, she just has her permit and wasn't doing too well tonight. Poor Hannah needs a few more hours with an instructor before being turned loose on our highways around here.
