The first part of that answer is that Friesians are still a rare breed. They were almost extinct with only 3 purebred stallions left in the world around 1916. The breed standards are very strict and only the best are allowed to breed in the FHANA registry. Jenis is FHANA registered.
The second part of that answer is TRAINING! She has hours and hours of training and it shows. This mare can perform at horse fairs, shows and yet take a complete beginner or child out on the trails safely.
The third and probably the most important reason is her sweet willing disposition. She loves people and is absolutely beginner safe. She is safe at a show, will not spook and loves human attention. She can be at the far end of the property but if she hears you call she comes at a gallop bringing the herd with her.
Need to get senior pictures done and want to have a horse in them. Oh Jenis is the best at posing for the camera.
Want to WOW the crowd. Jenis is trained to rear on demand and ONLY on demand. Is that impressive? Most beginner horses are quiet and do not have presence. Jenis oozes presence!
Even the Evil Queen of Maquon loves this mare. She was the first to say, "NO, you can't sell Jenis!"
Jenis loves crowds, below she was surrounded by over 5000 people in a standing room only screaming and yelling for her. She loves showing off.
Is it fun to swim with a horse? YOU bet, just ask Alicia.
Want to show off a bit? Just take Jenis in front of a group of horse back riders then ask for the rear. That will get a reaction.
Want to bring home the blues?
The judges love Jenis! She neck reins so even with a broken arm Emily is able to bring home the blues.
Want to try something different like mounted cowboy shooting. Jenis took to that quickly, she was fast, accurate and at the end used to refill baloons stands. She is also great at games.
Want to be the bell of the ball in a long fancy dress but still gallop around. Jenis could care less if something is flapping around her legs. She just loves to perform.
And the real reason this mare is $25,000.00, she is the mare I ride. At 60 years old these old bones need something safe. So of course I'm not going to let her go for less.
