The vaulters arrived, Becca was playing with Ribbon's filly and decided to see if she would pick up her feet without a halter or anyone holding her, Zara was perfect.
Then went in the barn to 'be impressed' with Star's filly.
Braelyn and Taegan came out to the arena with me and went right to work pulling the grass.
We like grass, just not in the arena. These girls were great help today.
When the vaulters came out to warm up they just joined right in the line watching and doing the best they could to get that bow right.
Taegan was not happy when she had to leave the arena for the practice.
But Berlica made it all better with a hug.
Wren came out of the barn with one of Emily's kittens. The little ones love these kittens.
Taegan found a friend today. She and Berlica hit it off and ended up playing together most of the day.
Below are a few vaulting pictures the rest will be placed on the Horsemeister Inc Facebook page.
At the end of the practice we talked Jenny into getting on and showing the vaulters some of her moves. Jenny was on our very first vaulting team. Yep, she still has it. The vaulters were SO impressed.
Below are the vaulter-wannabees. Karin almost always lets them ride a bit. No wonder we never ever run out of team members...they are lining up just waiting to get old enough to join.
After seeing his mother vault Tate wanted to try and loved it. We may end up with another one.
After vaulting Ribbon always enjoys a cool hosing off. Below Braelyn is taking her turn at helping.
The girls and I went in for lunch then over to Rachel's for the next part of Funday Monday. Below Kensley was put on the raft while I was getting the girls life jackets on. She smirked at me and started crawling right off, like that raft is going to keep her from the water.
Sarah was more than willing to rescue her.
Rhonda and Molly came over with the paddle boat loaded with rafts, kids and Spark on the back.
Mom came swimming over with Molly on the raft.
By the time everyone got there Rachel's place was crowded. She needs a bigger dock! Spark is always a favorite with the kids, he is willing to throw them up into the air so they can splash down. Braelyn gave him a work out.
Josiah showed us his diving form.
Berlica learned how to dive head first today.
Even Taegan had fun getting thrown into the air.
Faith and Hannah showed off some vaulting moves up on Spark's hands and shoulders.
Of course Berlica has to try too.
Even Mackenson decided this looked like fun and joined in.
Berlica and Taegan had so much fun playing together today.
Emily had to take the trailer over to East Peoria to pick up the lawn mower. Mark tried the mower tonight and it didn't work. It has been at the repair shop for weeks. Hope it is just something minor.Once the mower was picked up Emily and Ella drove to Chuck's to pick up 15 square bales of hay. Tomorrow morning early Piper leaves for the state of Washington and the transport company wants us to send along a few bales then this weekend Karin is going horse camping with 6 horses and will need a bunch of bales. Emily and Ella gave Piper a bath and placed her in a stall for the night. Mark used the old walk behind mower to work on the yard. We are going to open windows for the night since we are suppose to get a cool down.
