Early Morning Visitors

The family purchasing Emma's colt by Evan wanted to come down to visit him today but the only time we had available was this morning. They were expected at 7:30 am. As soon as Marika was turned out Emma and her colt were brought inside, the mud cleaned off as best as possible then stalled. The stalls were cleaned, buckets refilled and the horses fed then a halter needed to be found that would fit the colt. Unfortunately the only halter that would fit was a pink halter. They didn't care, he was quiet and well behaved. Their 3 year old son held him for a few pictures.
They decided he looked like a William so that is now his name. As soon as they left I had just enough time to jump in the shower and get ready for church.
We had another great day in church. David Obergfel had the morning service and Tim Roecker had the afternoon. We have such wonderful ministers in Peoria. They meet in the conference room each week to just pray for us and not just us they pray for those who have moved on to other places of worship. They all have such wonderful servant hearts. Right after church I had to drive to Hoerr vet clinic to pick up Sangria and her colt. Dr. Hoerr sent a text that she ovulated during the night. The semen still looked great this morning so he inserted the second dose. This is the first time we have shipped semen for Sangria. Hopefully she will have a gorgeous purebred Andalusian foal in 2016.
She was turned out with the other mares and foals and Marika was brought inside. Isabella is still in and covered by Evan. Rhoda & Lee and Sarah & Nolan came over this afternoon. Mom invited us all to dinner but the 2 younger couples had other plans. Mark and I were joined by Joan's family at mom's for a delicious ham dinner. After dinner Joan's family left for the mission, Ruth was picking up mom to also go to the mission but I drove in to Hanna City for the concert that was suppose to be held in the park but because of rain was held in the community center gym.
The concert was well attended. The band playing tonight is called OutHear. Three of them are Rachel's children David, Caleb and Jessica. The drummer is a friend of the family.
I should have taken my camera tonight but just didn't think of it. The picture above was taken with the phone. There were plenty of kids in the audience who enjoyed dancing to the music. I left at 8:30 since I still had to clean stalls, fill water buckets for the night and do the final feeding.
