Joan took all the kids in the conference room to wrap Bibles and this group was able to finish 20 boxes. They had to start from scratch folding the studies first before stuffing, wrapping and labeling.
I am so proud of these willing workers. Can you imagine giving up a hot summer day when it could be spent floating around on a lake and instead they gave up most of the day to work inside for prisoners. We broke for lunch at noon. Below Joan is getting the food line ready.
Emily left after lunch to get some mowing done at the farm. We needed to get that 50 foot strip mowed so it is passable for the trail ride on Friday. A farrier that lives right down the road came today and trimmed up Ribbon and Emma. Below he is working on Emma's hind hoof. The weather today was hot and sunny. I think the high was 91 degrees. That makes it miserable when trimming and yet Chuck was happy to come.
After supper it had cooled down to 89 degrees so Emily pulled Hadassah out for a short training session just so I could see how well she is doing. That was video taped and will be downloaded tomorrow.
Hadassah and Bunni were taken over to the cabin field. Ribbon, Sangria, Emma and Indy along with all their foals were turned loose in the pond pasture. They will be thrilled to take their foals swimming the next few days, it is predicted to be in the 90s for the rest of the week. Marika was left in the field, she had a bit of waxing this morning. She went 9 days early last year. She has 2 weeks until her due date so could go any time but I don't think tonight.
Luna was teased and still in so covered by Evan. I went in to work on the video but Emily still had the arena to rake and electric fence to install on the front of Killian's paddock. He broke another board on Monday.
