Monday

We discussed fluid retention on our walk and the best way to remove the excess without stressing mom and think we have found the solution.  Karin has been trying it last week and it seems to be working, using a half of a lasix pill just before going to bed. I took today with mom. It was cool enough to sit out on the deck and watch birds and then have our lunch out there.

Right after we saw the Baltimore Oriel we cut an orange and filled that with grape jelly. The gold finch and the house finches love the sunflower seeds as does the 3 kinds of wood peckers that visited.
The downy, the red bellied and the red headed wood pecker all enjoy coming to the feeder. We also saw red winged blackbirds, starlings and blue jays this afternoon. At 2:00 pm I left for Kroger, got gas there, went in to grab something for the Berean workers tomorrow, drove to Dollar General to pick up a few things, then to the Peoria post office to pick up the Berean mail and finally to the Berean office to drop off the mail and the desserts. I made it home by 3:40 pm and had 20 minutes to get ready for our date tonight with Amy and Ken at Red Lobster. That took a bit longer than 2 hours, the restaurant is short of help. On the way home we stopped at the Dollar General on Farmington road to pick up a can of ant spray.  I saw 5 big black ants in the 5th wheel floor this morning when I was getting it ready for the guest coming in this evening.  I can't tell where they are coming from but this evening found 3 more on the floor. I wiped everything down with bleach, then sprayed around the edges. The couple coming in have an infant and I sure don't want there to be ants. The barn lights were turned on then I took the golf cart over to mom's to drop off the home baked peanut butter cookies Amy made for mom and Karin.  Diane was there working on the wheel chair ramp. She was able to get that stable by the time I was ready to leave so she rode home on the golf cart. Mark is out grading the driveways.  Emma from Hoerr Vet called and will be sending Dr. Hoerr out tomorrow afternoon to geld Indy's colt and sonagram Tatiana. If Tatiana is in foal she can be taken out to Middle Grove.
Spark sent the amount for each person's mail box. Each family has a $26.50 bill but check out his work.
Spark had it done before Sunday morning but I forgot to post the picture of it yesterday.  I did not get Rosaleigh teased today so that will need to be done early tomorrow morning. Hopefully she will still be in.
