Celebrating 92 Years

It was warm this morning when we awoke, already around 65 degrees. Nolan was already up working and admitted he had gone to bed around midnight.  After breakfast I ran to Walmart to pick up 3 sets of twin sheets and groceries. When I walked out of the building the rain was coming down in sheets soaking me and the purchases. Unloading in the rain wasn't fun, by the time everything was unloaded I was soaked through. We finished the list of work needing to be done Sarah gave us just before 1:00 pm. Diane, Beth, mom and Aunt Jinnie were the first guests to arrive to see the almost finished project. They picked out a couple lamps Sarah didn't want and a painting for mom's Island Royale condo. Diane drove that stuff, plus my suitcase and me to that condo then we drove Phil and Anna's suitcase over to Sarah and Nolan's condo. Phil and Anna had just arrived. From there we went to Diane's pool to lay out as the sun was very hot. Phil and Anna took their family to the beach and then to hot tub.

On our way home from Diane's condo we walked under Tim and Jeannie's condo and mom saw a couple paintings she liked and decided to take them home with her.
Beth and I tried to tell her they may already be sold but mom said if they were she would bring them back but she wanted to try them on her wall first. My mom the thief? We knew that Diane was out walking on the beach with Ruth who was handling the sales of Jeannie's stuff but neither Ruth nor Diane were answering their phones. When Diane finally did answer Beth asked and very quickly Ruth assured her the paintings were not sold and mom could have them. Diane hung them and they are pictured below and we all agreed with mom that they really do match her decor and look perfect where she wanted them hung.
Today is Aunt Jinnie's 92nd birthday and for her birthday she took us to DeSoto's for supper and paid for all of our meals.
We had a lot of fun. The people at the table next to us told us she was also from Illinois. We visited a bit then I got a phone call from someone asking if we had horseback riding at our farm. When I told him no he asked, "oh do you just board horses?"  I explained, "No we only sell babies" The lady from Illinois got a shocked look on her face. I guess that sounded really bad when one  hears just one side of the conversation. When we got back to the condo Diane hung the picture mom got from Sarah's condo in the bunk room.
We listened on line to church tonight and after church Aunt Jinnie's son Philip organized a surprise zoom meeting with all of her kids. Diane and mom baked a brownie cake, we sang happy birthday together and had Aunt Jinnie blow out the candles. It was a good birthday surprise for her. The meeting lasted extra long because Diane couldn't figure out how to get out of the meeting. It was wonderful to see all of our long lost cousins from all over America.
