Cinnamon and Abby Pregnant

I left at 6:00 am during a thunderstorm to drive down to Dave and Stephanie's house to watch their children while Stephanie went up to the hospital to visit with someone. We played games and built walls with candy.

Stephanie came back a little earlier than expected. From there it was a trip to the bank to deposit the cash from the 3 horse sales over the weekend. Everyone paid cash and almost all of it was in twenties.  I felt sorry for the bank ladies trying to count it all.   At 11:00 I was at Phil and Anna's house waiting for Kensley to get off the bus.  Kensley and I went right to work with the horses. We needed to get updated pictures of Lily's filly for her owner so she was taken to the round pen. The sun was out and it wasn't too cold right then but the round pen was kind of soggy from the half inch of rain this morning.

The filly did very well and when she was put away Kensley went right to work sweeping up the barn aisle.  What a good helper she was.
Dr. Hoerr arrived quite late to draw blood from 6 of the weanlings and 1 yearling.  By this time the clouds were thick and heavy completely covering any sunshine and the wind was fierce gusting to 49 mph.  We did Knight King (Soul's colt by Evan) first as he was still in the stall with Lily's filly. From there we went outside and started with Isla. Her coggins ran out in September and since she is still for sale she had to have a new one. All of the weanlings were waiting by the gate so one at a time were taken out. Josiah (Jewel's colt by Evan) Lyra (Galena's filly by Valiant) Daria (Lola's filly by Valiant) Joshua (Madiera's colt by Evan) and Lance (Sheena's colt by Valiant). All did well and I'm glad to have that job done. Lotus was sonagrammed and wasn't very happy with Dr. Hoerr. She did not stand as well this time, threatening to kick him but never did. She did not settle. The ultrasound showed signs of edema, some air in the uterus and a follicle of 47 mm so I took her over and had Evan cover her. She was not happy with Evan and tried to kick but he got the job done. When I put her in the paddock she took off galloping and bucking showing her displeasure.  Abby was next and it didn't take Dr. Hoerr long to find the embryonic vesicle. Abby was bred to Valiant and is due Sept 11th, 2020.
Abby is for sale as a 2/1 package for $2500.00. She is a 7 year old grade Tennessee Walker, all black and will have an awesome Friesian foal.  Cinnamon was next she too was found to be pregnant by Dr. Hoerr's amazing ultrasound machine. Cinnamon was bred to Evan and is due Aug 29th, 2020.
She is sold. By the time everything was finished Mark was home it was way past supper time and Mark even made the dinner. A wonderful review came in from the airbnb guests that stayed this weekend.  They write: “Outstanding hospitality and such a wonderful place to stay at for a unique experience with horses and country-lifestyle! The cookies that are on the table, THE BEST!!! Judy is an amazing host and left a wonderful impression on our little family!” “Judy, our family will forever remember you! We felt so spoiled your above and beyond hospitality and how you invested in Tiara’s life by showing and teaching her how to ride Jenis! You are 1 special lady! Blessings as you continue in this journey of life!
The lady that bought Eliza's 2016 colt by Valiant posted the video below of this 3 year old gelding.  He looks AMAZING! He is in training and doing great.

Owner writes:  Pure breed FHH registered Friesian gelding, currently standing at 15.3hh and growing like a weed! We have owned Caesar KB since 4 months old, so he is very well handed. He has been long-reining/ground-driving on and off for 18 months, going on "off-farm" adventures to several places, been on an in-hand trail ride and trailered to friends' indoor arenas and is an obstacle-pro! He has been sat on 3 times over the summer, but due to only being 3 years old and is growing, he has not been started into full work.
