Karin is working with Valiant in the outdoor arena while Magda works with Evan in the round pen. Even though they were distracted by having the other stallion right next to them they still did ok.
I had to leave to bring Rosaleigh's filly into a stall as the prospective buyers were going to be arriving soon. When I got back Karin had finished riding Valiant and had switched with Magda letting her ride Valiant while she worked with Evan.
They had just finished up when the people came. They ended up buying Rosaleigh's filly AND Ivan.
Above is Ivan and below is Rosaleigh's filly.
Both horses loaded well. As soon as they left I hustled over to Phil and Anna's house where Anna had dinner prepared for everyone. We were celebrating Taegan's 7th birthday, Kensley's 5th birthday and Zion's 2nd birthday.
Above they are blowing out candles and below their eyes are covered for their birthday surprise.
Phil and Anna built a monkey bar and bought a brand new tumbling mat for Taegan's present.
Kensley got exactly what she wanted, a Candyland game, a purse and a new hat.
Iris was glad to watch the party and happy in her father's arms.
From there we headed to the playground for the usual volley ball games.
The grandkids and I loaded up on the golf cart and drove over to Joan's to see Tumnus the deer.
When we arrived there were lots of cars at Joan's house. She was hosting potluck, Sarah had just opened the door and Tumnus walked right in the house.
They all got a chance to pet him before he was shooed outside. From Joan's house we went back to our house for bowl of cereal for each child.
We were heading back to the playground when we came upon Rhoda, Lee and Iris with Jenis. Rhoda was letting Iris sit on Jenis. That meant that each child on the golf cart also got to sit on Jenis. By this time though it was too dark to take pictures. No one was in a hurry to leave tonight so we sat around visiting until it got too cold. After everyone left I ran back up to the barn to feed and water the stalled weanlings one more time. Tomorrow they will be turned out. They are all doing well.
