Usually when we wean we leave the foal here and move the dam to Middle Grove but with Emma and William we could not follow our usual plan. Emma is sold and as soon as she is confirmed in foal will be leaving but she is also thin. We had to wean her big colt at 4 months. She is such a good mom almost all of her calories were going to keep him fat and happy. Last night they spent the night in adjoining stalls but today she is out of sight. Too bad she is not out of hearing. He is still calling and even though she is as far from the barn as is possible she can hear and is calling back. William is spending this weaning time with his big sister Zenia. She was suppose to have left for California on Tuesday but the shipper is going to be a week late. Zenia is actually loving living in the stall, she is getting as much good quality hay, grain and beet pulp as she wants. She is content laying down at night snoozing as William walks around her wondering where his mom is. I really don't like weaning time.
Diane and I spent the morning at the Berean office entering the Bible requests. When we finished we had 301 labels printed. Those will be applied to the wrapped Bibles tomorrow as soon as we get some Bibles wrapped then tomorrows requests will be added to the bunch and I predict by the end of the day tomorrow we will either be out of Bibles or very close to being out. Tim Martin was sent a text but we haven't heard back yet if any have been ordered. Not sure who else to contact if Tim is still out of the country.
Tonight Greg Rumbold had the service. The 2 words to remember were Astonished and Fresh.
