Tim Funk had the morning service and Mike Rieker had the afternoon. We are so blessed with ministers willing to serve and yet tell the hard truth in love.
After church Rhoda made a special effort to come help her old mother out. A lady from Morton, IL wanted to come see a few of our horses. She arrived around 3:30 so we brought out Jewel and her colt first. One can't help but be impressed with this colt. He has what we call, 'lift' even when he is not trying to show off.
It is so easy to get pictures of this boy with all 4 hooves off the ground, he gets so high in the air. Next out was Rosalie. Now yesterday when Karin brought out the tarp Rosalie freaked out and jumped out of the arena knocking down a board. Today she was pretty low key. Amazing what working her 2 days in a row does to her attitude. She was still a bit worried about the tarp but by the end of the session was walking on it.
Jurista was the last horse out. Rhoda rode her first then let Laurie climb on and try her out.
check out Jurista's tongue in the picture below, not exactly sure what she is trying to portray.
Andalusians are just so much fun to ride. Emma found a new friend too. One of Laurie's sons sat down and started petting her. I was surprised Emma let him quit.
While we were out with the horses, Mark was working on our old golf cart. He was able to get it running and put it on the charger for the rest of the afternoon.
After our company left Mark, Lee, Rhoda and I went in to Peoria to eat dinner at Flat Top Grill. After dinner we drove straight up to the barn to see if the golf cart held a charge and would start. It did so we drove it over to mom's. The volleyball players had left but there were still plenty sitting around a nice hot camp fire. Dennis & Gertie along with Mike & Diane, Joan with 4 of her kids and mom were all enjoying the visiting around the warmth. Another Super Sunday.
