Our Ella the Miracle Pony


At six years old, Krosby struggles to communicate with the world around her.  She has Down syndrome and apraxia of speech.
Not many people easily understand her.
But Ella does. 
Once a week, Krosby eagerly mounts and sits with confidence upon Ella’s back at Therapeutic Horsemanship.  With a tug on the reins and a distinctive “Walk On” command, this spirited little girl with pink light-up cowboy boots is all smiles and giggles as she clearly lets Stephanie, her speech therapist, know that she wants to “trot now.”
