Ted Witzig Sr. was our speaker tonight at church and he had all of our attention. He summarized Titus by 2 words, honesty and communication. He explained he was going to have us flip to different passages for a couple of reasons, the first to read with him and the second to keep us awake. We kind of chuckled, then he told us really it was to keep him awake! He said, "It would be pretty bad if the speaker falls asleep because the audience is so boring," that got a laugh. Needless to say he kept our attention throughout. He brought out that it could be our walk on earth is the only Bible some people see. After church everyone was visiting and enjoying each other, one can't help but think how blessed we are to have such a wonderful church family.
As were were visiting after church Diane, Beth, Ruth, mom and I had a quick meeting on the Meister Christmas. We want to reserve the Old School Center for our regular Christmas celebration day of December 23rd. Mom offered to pay the entire fee so tomorrow I'll write a check out of the Bridlewood account. With 99 people in the family we can no longer fit everyone in a house and the Old School Center is a wonderful facility for big groups. They have 2 gyms for volley ball and basket ball, free wireless internet, a game room, the theater room, an auditorium with a stage for plays, the library with a great sound system for the kid's performances, a well stocked kitchen with plenty of cooler space, ice machine, convection ovens, microwaves and all kinds of supplies, it is just a perfect set up for any size group. The Old School Center can be reserved for 1 day or 10 days, it even has hotel suites with extremely comfortable beds. I'm not sure but I think it sleeps more than 200 people. Check it out by clicking on their website.
