Hanna City Farm

Mark and I took a trip to TSC for more bolts and screws. Mark saw the above mat and splurged for it. He could have bought a welcome mat for $10.00 less but he thought I would like this one. What a great husband! Once our shopping was finished it was time to head out to the farm.
By the time we pulled up Steven had almost finished Raven's paddock and was ready to start cleaning Ribbon's. The place looks great, best ever for a November. This has been a wonderfully dry fall. The rain that fell yesterday didn't make much of a difference. Yesterday Steven and Karin came up with a good plan for the round bale feeding. We were trying to come up with less waste and yet an efficient way to put in the hay.

I love the idea, they hinged one section of the feeder to the shelter, then when the gate is opened to add another bale, the feeder is moved to the side which stops the horses from coming out, put the bale in, move the feeder back and shut the gate. GENIUS!
Ylse and Jenis were not too impressed they were more curious as to what Mark was doing.

Inside the office, Greg Reed finished the wall where the wood burner goes. I love to the tile, he came up with the pattern by himself.

We had a very productive morning. Mark did some tree work, while Steven finished up cleaning the paddocks then power washed the skid steer. I did general clean up around the place before heading home to move in a round bale for Autumn and Sanna here at Bridlewood, then clean this paddock. Coleen Keenan, an old childhood friend showed up and helped while visiting.
The pictures below were taken on Thursday when Addyson came over to play. She was so brave feeding Darcy, Addyson doesn't mind feeding Emma but is a little scared of Darcy.

My grand daughter LOVES to help clean, Her mama is raising her right.
