The Old School Center was booming with business today. I arrived early, fed, watered and put up our pony ride sign. We decided against cotton candy, just didn't sell enough last weekend. Sophia helped bring Bunni and Duke from the back to the front of the school and as we were walking a car stops, a lady rolls down her window and asks very loudly, "is one of those horses DUKE?" We pointed him out, she said she would for sure be back all she heard about this week was DUKE. The horses were tied to the trailer for tacking and another car pulls up, opens the window and a lady yells out, "is one of those horses DUKE?" When the question was answered the next was when do you start the rides? We asked them to wait until 9:00am as the help was all suppose to show up then but by 8:50am we decided why make them wait and started. Sophia was the only helper until Steven showed up and wow were we glad to see him. Mom got there a little after nine but by that time the line was gone and we were just sitting. It really was slow for a while until I finally decided to go get something to eat. Steven made the comment as soon as you leave we will have a group but I didn't believe him. Only gone for maybe 5 minutes and when back just shocked at the line up of people. Mom and Steven were swamped. Rhoda came after 1:00pm and relieved Steven. Quitting time couldn't come soon enough today.
The weather was beautiful, sunny and warm. The horses were lazy. Taunya brought Addyson for a pony ride and she did NOT want to get off the horse each time. The camera was accidentally left at the Old School Center so no pictures.
Phil, Anna, David and Ben were putting in a furnace system for a church down on the south end of Peoria. They finished just about the time Rhoda and I finished so we all went to Logan's for dinner. Everyone is tired today so it is home and time to go to bed. Just think, tomorrow we get to do it all over again.
