Both dogs insisted on waking us up this morning at 4:30, even Darcy who once told to go lie down does and leaves us alone, did lie down but right by the bed and kept whining. When we, the 2 dogs and I got down the stairs the lights are on and the heater is running. Sarah was up early doing homework so both dogs thought we should be up as well. It is FREEZING outside, the thermometer is reading 30 degrees. Funny last winter we had such a cold spell for so long 30 seemed warm when the temperature finally got that high.
I'm going to need more than just a sweat shirt and wind breaker for the walk this morning. Time to dig out the winter coats!
Today Steven is borrowing the truck and trailer and bringing Star to Bridlewood. The UPS Bibles need to get out today but I want to be here when Star arrives for a picture. Star has put back on almost all of his weight and his muscle tone is already better. We need before and after pictures, Steven has done an amazing job bringing this horse back from his starvation state. Cathie Trent the Bridlewood instructor and barn manager may have someone to lease Star but there needs to be a trial period to make sure it is a good match. Cathie is the reason Bridlewood has it's great reputation, it has been a FULL and safe barn for 20 years.
