Bloopers?

We had one of the BEST days EVER, the demos all went great, no one got hurt and the kids had a BLAST. There are so many impressions today, I really don't know where to start. Our foals were well behaved for the judging, that is all but Evan, he was a little hyper and gave Steven some problems but not that bad. We don't have the final but according to the FPS judge, Evan and Valiant were so well matched that Valiant took first ONLY because he was so well behaved. She actually felt Evan would have placed higher than Valiant except he didn't show off his fantastic gait and didn't want to stand still. Ciera placed over Wanda only because Wanda is much younger and not as developed. ALL of RAVEN'S foals were EXCELLENT. The judge knew of Raven and commented on how well behaved his get are. Many people came up to us at the fair that have Raven's sons or daughters and ALL of them bragged on how wonderful their Raven baby was. Many are now old enough to be under saddle and without exaggerating each said it was the easiest foal they have ever trained.
It was great to have Mike and Diane there to answer questions so I could talk to people.
Now for the demos, the Friesians were fabulous, What can I say, Jenis is so spectacular she looks like a stallion and most thought she was Raven, Rhoda has a way of making the most of her fantastic movement. Ylse's mane is so thick and long it flows in the wind when Monica is cantering her around the ring. Both mares showed off, both got on the pedestal together and wow did the camera flashes start popping all around the ring. The foals were well behaved and also showed off on the pedestal and running around. Each was easy to catch at the end, basically coming to the handler. My handlers today were: Rebekah with Wanda, Emily Ricketts with Ciera, Steven led in both the boys as Caleb Sauder rolled in the pedestal, then he took Evan from Steven while Steven showed Valiant on the pedestal. They all got a great round of applause. Then it seemed to take forEVER for the vaulters to have their turn. They were dead last and the wait of 16 other breeds seemed to go on for hours even though it was probably only one hour. It was well worth the wait, they were great.
The evening performance was the best and I will place it on youtube. They performed to an over sold (sold out) standing room only audience and the audience was completely enthralled. At the end the vaulters run out of the arena, grabbed free T-shirts then run back into the arena and throw them. They run in order of tallest to smallest. The next to the last vaulter fell, and little Moses was so caught up in the big job he didn't see her fall and fell right on top of her. The audience ROARED then the applause started and went ON and ON and ON. After the show, even grandma said she was so glad she came even though the drive home will take almost an hour and a half. The video will be posted once home.
