Busy Tuesday

Rosalie was taken out a little later this morning and put in the pond pasture. The gate to the middle paddock is open so if she wants she can come up to eat hay.  Below I was checking her udder. Indy's colt is the foal in the background watching.

Mike put a short lead rope on him and has been working with him.
The other 2 came over to see what he was looking at.
The sun was brightening up the clouds, this was about 7:00 am. Below is another picture of Rosalie. She really is a magnificent mare even heavy in foal. She is a solid 17 hands.
Ruth, Diane and I walked. Ruth brought some wrapped up pieces of bread her son Steven made for her yesterday and gave us each one.
We were surprised to see Joan's van parked at Spark and Rhonda's house but found out a bit later that Joan went to the hospital to relieve Spark at 2:30 am so Spark could come home and get some sleep. We met Spark on the second round as he was driving back to the hospital so Ruth gave him some bread to take to Rhonda. He told us he was able to get 3 hours of good sleep. The hospital is trying to figure out what caused Rhonda's grand mal seizure and the after-affects a month ago. Diane, Aunt Jinnie, mom and I left for the Berean office around 8:20 am and made it there before 9:00 am. We had a busy morning there. If you would like to read about that click HERE. We drove straight to the Hanna City post office to drop off the Bibles before driving to mom's. Joan lined up those who could, 2 hour shifts at the hospital staying with Rhonda to give her family and Spark a break. I got home around 5:00 pm, went straight up to the field to bring Rosalie in. It was just starting to sprinkle and rain is predicted tonight. Her udder hasn't grown but I'm not taking a chance on her delivering outside in the cold rain.  Rhoda and Lee dropped off Iris and Zeke for a couple hours tonight while they were paid to go out and review a fancy restaurant.  We had a lot of fun in those 2 hours. Poor Zeke, we gave him the candy cane but didn't take the wrapper off. He didn't think it tasted very good.
Iris' candy cane turned her tongue blue.
Joan is going back up to the hospital tonight, Diane is going to relieve her early in the morning.  Aunt Jinnie leaves for Utah to attend a wedding of one of her grandchildren tomorrow afternoon.
