Lights

We barely had enough coffee for this morning and there is no more in the house so that meant a trip to Sam's Club.  I've been putting off going and knew today would be a big shopping and it was.  They had those great big Cowboy Steak Ribeyes on sale for $8.06 a pound. I bought just 2 which should take care of our Sunday dinner.  Of course that meant buying the rest of the meal also.
This afternoon was spent working with Cinnamon and Abby. Abby had lost her halter and she is the horse that just doesn't want to be caught but after about 10 minutes she was standing still and let me put the rope around her neck. Once the halter was on she was first led over to Evan, teased then led into a stall and given grain. While she was eating Cinnamon was brought inside also and given grain. Now that Cinnamon is not in season she doesn't want to come up to the gate.  Both need work on leading but today both did well with that.  Cinnamon still needs encouragement to come forward but both are no longer rushing forward.  Cinnamon was put back in the paddock and Abby taken to the round pen. Today I just stood at the gate and when she came to me took her out, praised her then put her back in and walked away. That was done 3 times then she was also put back in the paddock. I walked away, grained the other horses, came back and both mares ran from me so back to work I went. Each mare was caught, praised, groomed a bit then let loose 3 times. No real drama but I feel we are making progress.  Lotus was teased and is still a no show but she is now standing next to Evan so hopefully will come in soon.
Mark came home with 2 light fixtures for the apartment. The light fixtures that were in there had permanent LED light bulbs that were suppose to last 30 years and of course they burned out. We bought those fixtures because Mark thought we would not be alive in 30 years and he would never have to worry about changing those light bulbs.  HA, they didn't even last 10 years so now we are putting in fixtures that the bulbs can be changed when they burn out. These fixtures are installed on the 12 foot high ceiling. We got a start on that but weren't able to finish. The ladder was left in the apartment so hopefully we can finish that job tomorrow. We have guests coming in on Saturday.
The reason we had to quit was mom invited us all over for games at her house. Sarah R, Ruth, Diane, mom and I had a good close game.
