Crazy Weather

Mark was up at 4:00 am, got the coffee maker going then turned the light on at his desk. Just then he heard a thump at the sliding glass door and a whine. He turned the outside lights on and there was Kabur, Sarah's dog asking to come in. Mark opened the door and Kabur walked over to Mark's desk and sat under it. He was all wet as it had rained some during the night so Mark left him be and read in the living room. I was up about 4:15 am, grabbed a cup of coffee walked into the rec-room and Kabur got up came over to greet me then went back under the desk. Sure don't know what that was about. Mom called at 6:30 am to make sure she was going to Berean with Ruth and I. I explained to her that Ruth was not coming as she was getting her crown this morning. Mom started laughing and was more than willing to give Ruth HER crown. We decided we would ask Ruth to come in to mom's this morning after the walk and 'help' me with the wheelchair. Then mom would give her a crown. It worked perfectly.

When Ruth bent down to greet mom, mom had the crown in her hand. Ruth at first didn't understand until it was on her head.
Joan took a video and sent it to me by text but the video was just too blurry. We all had to laugh at Ruth's reaction.  It was really foggy this morning on the walk. The spider webs were all covered with dew.
We ended up back at mom's and were ready to leave for the Berean office by 8:00 am. It wasn't until we got to that office that I realized I didn't have my purse, mom didn't have her purse and if we would have been stopped neither of us had any identification. Why it is amazing we even knew who we were! If you would like to read about our morning there click HERE.  I drove VERY carefully on the way home, no speeding and no rolling through stop signs. Dan was here when we got to mom's. He was getting ready to leave but I had a big list for him first. The wheel chair ramp he put up 2 and a half years ago as a temporary ramp was coming apart. He took a look at it took his tools out of his van and went right to work. Below he is taking it down.
He put it back up and now it is sturdy and safe.
The next job was over at Joan's house. We needed the generator on the motor home looked at.
He got it started and even diagnosed the problem.
The choke is not choking when it is first supposed to. It will need to be fixed if we rent it but we can easily start it by choking it manually.  Who knows maybe by the time we are ready to rent it out it will have fixed itself. Right after I got home Rick from Zane's called to report my car was done. On Sunday we took Mark's car there to get repaired and that got done yesterday. We picked his car up yesterday and dropped mine off and today it is done and we are $1900.00 poorer but both cars are working great. Mark's is a 2014 Prius and mine is a 2007 Prius, both have a little more than 160,000 miles on them. Mark had googled the problem and one of the the answer came back that the rotors need to be replaced on these cars at around 160,000 miles. Sure enough that was what was needed. These two cars have been so reliable we have very few repairs. They are well worth fixing.
Since we don't have the 5th wheels anymore I decided to list that camp site on Hipcamp. I spent most of the afternoon figuring out what was needed then had to go take pictures of the camp site.
It isn't the best ad but later I can improve it. If you would like to see this ad click HERE. On the way back to the house I stopped to take a picture of Mike's Thoroughbred mares. I moved them over to the middle paddock as their bale was about out. They both took a big mouthfull.
For our supper tonight I made steak stir fry with a side of steamed broccoli that was sprinkled with some Colby jack cheese. I added those roasted seasoned mini potatoes to Mark's plate as he really likes those. We had a high of 76 degrees today and even this evening it was 68 degrees but now the wind has picked up gusting over 30 mps and changed now coming from the Northwest. The temperature is dropping like a stone. Snow is moving in by midnight and by 7:00 am it is predicted to be only 21 degrees. Crazy to have a 55 degree drop in less than 12 hours. Thankfully the cold spell is supposed to be short lived. It seemed weird to be bringing in piles of wood for the wood burner when it is 68 degrees out.
