Joshua Sold

Karin and mom were sound asleep when it came time for our walk. We didn't wake them but stopped in after. Mom had a decent night's sleep but was a little discouraged by how long it is taking for her ribs to heal.
Once mom had a good breakfast Karin came over to work horses, starting with Valiant.

She let me ride after she was done.

Valiant is a lot of fun to ride. He is so very talented.  Next out was Evan.

Evan was asked to work on his tricks and was completely bored.

When Karin was finished I had a job for Evan. Indy is in season and ready to be covered but she is very protective of her colt so this time I wanted help. I twitched Indy while Karin brought Evan up but we had to change places as Evan would not mount with Karin handling him. These stallions know their jobs and when Karin handles him he is not allowed to even notice the mares and yet when I handle him he knows his job and does it quickly. Indy was successfully covered. Evan was put away and Hadassah brought out. Karin is working on a relaxing technique with her.

It worked when Hadassah lowered her head quietly.
When Karin left Anna showed up with the girls and Pax for a hike on the death trails. They hiked and hiked, saw lots of footprints of different animals and crossed creeks of which some were pretty deep. By the time they got to the big field I met them with the golf cart to bring them home the last part of the journey. They were tired but after a snack of cereal were ready for more adventures.
They rode their bikes over to Joan's house and Berlica and Faith joined them riding their bikes back over here.
As today was sunny and 57 degrees it was time to clean Joshua up for pictures. We had someone waiting to see conformation pictures. Faith was willing to help with those. He was given a bath using my nice warm water.

He was taken to the outdoor arena where he immediately dropped and rolled.
He bounded up and tore around the arena having a ball bucking and galloping.

The pictures were posted and the colt sold. He will be going to Arizona. David and Stephanie arrived with Israel, Elisabet and Rizzy. Israel was taken over to join the others playing on the dam.
David, Stephanie and Anna sat out on mom's balcony watching the kids playing across the lake. Mom came out for a visit.  When it was time to start dinner, they walked back to my house.
I took the golf cart over to pick up kids when Kensley came up carrying a cat. Joan said it was Rhonda's cat so we loaded the cat on the golf cart too and headed over to Rhonda's to take the cat back.
But when we got to Rhonda's there was Rhonda's cat sitting on her flower box. So the cat Kensley was holding was not Rhonda's cat unless Rhonda has 2 cats.
We left the cat at her house, if it is Rachel's cat it will walk home. The girls rode back on their bikes.
Elisabet decided she would stay inside and help her mom cook dinner instead of coming out to the barn to ride Oksana.
Oksana was brought inside and Israel helped groom her before we saddled her up.
Israel was able to steer Oksana all by himself and was able to keep her in a trot circle all the way around the arena.

We quit when David and Stephanie told us supper was done. They served a delicious fried chicken, salad and cheesy macaroni with cookies and ice cream for dessert. Tonight Mike Kaisner had church right from his house on Facebook live speaking on Daniel.
