Thanksgiving at the Borks

We had a nice morning in church but kind of had to rush out after as we were expected at Rhoda and Lee's at 1:30 pm for the big Thanksgiving meal and needed to stop first in Morton to pick up Nancy.  I still needed to heat of the gravy which was made this morning then put outside until we could get home and heat it up. The mashed potatoes, and stuffing were put in crock pots and placed on low while the turkey and sweet potato casserole were put in the oven on 200 before we left for church. When we got home home everything was ready except the gravy. That was turned on high with Mark in charge of stirring while I went over to pick up mom's car, mom and her pies. We loaded all the food in the back of her car and got to Nancy's house at 12:35 and to Rhoda and Lee's by 1:20 pm. Perfect timing. We were actually the last to arrive. The meal was delicious. The kids were allowed to swim after eating in the nice big warm indoor pool.

There are more swimming pictures if you would like to see them click HERE.  After that big dinner pretty much all of us went for a walk around the neighborhood.
Sarah and Nolan had big news this morning. Their Maltese Arrieta gave birth to 4 puppies. 2 male and 2 female. She was bred to Hux, Phil and Anna's King Charles Cavalier right before Hux was hit by a car and killed. These will be very very special puppies. One of the female puppies is quite small and probably won't make it. They brought them tonight as they need to make sure the small puppy gets the most milk and the best teat.
Karin helped out with all the farm work today, teasing Rosalie and getting her covered with Evan around noon.  She also worked the horses today and our weather was really nice for once making it a joy to ride. Sure hope Rosalie settles on this cycle. If she does the foal would be due early November.
