Last night after 10:00 pm when we were already in bed my phone notified me of a text. It was Robin, one of the Berean workers to let me know Sam's Club had a fire and the store would be closed for up to a month. I exclaimed, "oh NO!" which made Mark sit up and ask, "what happened?" When I told him about the fire, he too was worried as Meister Electric is working there. Since I was so busy yesterday and no food was prepared for the Berean workers today I wasn't sure what to do. On the walk this morning I was telling the walkers the problem when mom came up with the perfect solution, she would go to Walmart and buy lunch for everyone and that is exactly what she did. HERE. Well it turned out the fire wasn't that bad but the after effect WAS, the rotisserie got too hot and set off all the sprinklers which caused the store about a million dollars damage. Not sure we have enough groceries to last a month without that store so I'm sure hoping they get the water damage cleaned up quickly. At 6:45 am the farmer arrived with the big tractor and hay mower and went right to work cutting the fields. We are to have at least a week of beautiful sunny weather and we all know the saying, 'make hay when the sun shines'. We are so thankful for this break in the rain. Mike and Ripper joined us on the walk this morning. Ripper is 4 years old and is Soul's son. Soul is only 15.2 hands but she sure throws MUCH taller than she is, Ripper is huge. Mike believes he is also the smartest horse we have. Ripper follows him around like a dog.
After Berean Sheena was taken care of, Indy and Oksana's feeder removed from their shelter then went to check on the hay fields. Karin arrived after work and started with Valiant today.
Valiant did very well again today. I brought Indy out and walked her around the round pen as Karin was riding him and he noticed her but did nothing more than call once or twice then went right back to work for Karin.
He did so well that when Faith arrived, she was put on him and told to walk, trot and canter.
I love seeing that big stallion listen and mind a little girl. Faith was also pleased, check out that smile.
Rebekah arrived and was put to work riding Indy in the outdoor arena while Karin and Faith worked with Valiant
After Valiant was put away the girls took Oksana, Missy and Indy out on the trails.

This evening Mark weed whacked. That seems to be an endless job around here lately. I need to mow but did not want to work that hard today.
